1st Bill Reading Of New Parliament In Favour Of People With Disabilities

Minister for Inclusion and Voluntary Work Julia Farrugia presented the first reading of a bill pushing for constitutional changes in favour of the rights of people with disabilities.
The bill, the minister explained, would push for disability no longer being a reason for discrimination in society.
The technical work to negotiate the law with the Opposition will now begin, as the law will require two-thirds majority in favour in parliament given that it will be amending the country’s constitution.
This comes as the 15th legislature of this parliament officially begins following the swearing in ceremonies of this morning.
