19 Year Old & 50 Year Old Injured After Driver Crashes Into Fgura Roundabout

Today, at around 0415hrs, police were informed of a traffic accident in Triq Ħaż-Żabbar, Fgura.
Police convened immediately on site and preliminary investigations found that a 58 year old man resident of Birkirkara was driving an MG MG4 Electric when he lost control, hit the monument in the middle of a roundabout and then crashed into the porch of a building.
In the vehicle were a 19 year old man and a 50 year old woman, both of whom were German.
A medical team were called on site and transported the passengers to Mater Dei Hospital. Later, the 19 year old was certified to have suffered light injuries and the woman was certified to have suffered grievous injuries.
Investigations are ongoing.
