18 Year Old Worker At Risk Of Dying After Falling 4 Storeys In St Julian’s

Yesterday, at around 1430hrs, police were informed of an accident which had taken place in a block of apartments in Triq Forrest, St Julian’s.
Preliminary investigations showed that an 18 year old Syrian man, resident of Santa Venera, had fallen around four storeys whilst he was working.
A medical team and Civil Protection were called on site to assist, with the teenager being transported to Mater Dei Hospital, where he was certified as having suffered serious injuries.
An inquiry has been opened, and investigations by police and the Authority for Health and Safety on the Workplace and the Building and Construction Authority currently underway.
