17 Year Old Boy Arrested Over Alleged Cocaine, Heroin And Cannabis Trafficking

A 17-year-old youth from Msida was arrested yesterday afternoon in connection with alleged drug trafficking activities in Ħal Għaxaq.

The arrest followed police surveillance during which officers observed suspicious movements by the teenager, who was reportedly seen meeting several different individuals on multiple occasions, believed to be linked to suspected drug transactions.

After a period of observation, police moved in and detained the youth.

A subsequent search reportedly led to the seizure of 53 sachets of a substance suspected to be cocaine, 11 sachets of a substance suspected to be heroin, and three sachets of a substance suspected to be synthetic cannabis.

Officers also confiscated mobile phones, cash, and other items believed to be connected to drug trafficking.

The teenager is currently being held at the police lock-up in Floriana and is expected to be arraigned in court today at around 11:00am before Magistrate Dr Donatella Frendo Dimech.

Police investigations are ongoing.
