17.8% Of Maltese Aged 16 And Over Make Daily Use Of Tobacco

According to data issued by Eurostat, 17.8% of Maltese people aged over 16 made use of tobacco and related products in 2025.
This was just above the European Union average of 16.5%, and includes products such as e-cigarettes, nicotine pouches or heated tobacco products.
Compared to 2022, the rate for Malta dropped from 18.7% of daily use.
The highest shares were recorded in Bulgaria at 23.9%, whereas the lowest were recorded in the Netherlands at 9.9%.
