16-Year-Old Passenger On Scooter At risk of dying After crash With Car

Yesterday evening, at around 10:00 p.m. (2200hrs), Police were informed of a traffic accident in Triq l-Imdina, Ħaż-Żebbuġ.

Police officers immediately went on site, where preliminary investigations revealed that the accident occurred between an e-kick scooter, driven by a 15-year-old boy from Ħal Qormi, and an Opel Astra driven by a 26-year-old man from Ħal Luqa.

A 16-year-old youth from Ħal Qormi was riding as a passenger on the scooter. He sustained injuries during the collision and was given medical assistance on site before being taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance, where he was later certified to be suffering from serious injuries.

The two drivers involved did not sustain any injuries.

Police investigations are still ongoing.
