14-Year-Old Singer Dedicates Song To Grandfather Living With Dementia

14-year-old Maltese singer Emma Farrugia has dedicated her latest original song, “Don’t Change”, to her grandfather, who is living with dementia.

Released before World Alzheimer’s Day, the emotional track celebrates the memories Emma shares with her grandfather and the love her family continues to hold for him.

“I wanted to create a song that would help me hold on to all the beautiful memories I have of him,” Emma shared.

“Don’t Change” marks the young singer’s fourth original release, continuing a musical journey which has already seen her become a finalist in the Malta Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2023 before placing third in the 2024 edition.

Through the song, Emma transforms a deeply personal experience into a touching tribute to her grandfather and the memories they have created together.
