14 Year Old Boy Grievously Injured In Gudja Traffic Accident

Late Saturday evening, at around 2300hrs, police were informed of an accident which had taken place in Triq Dawret il-Gudja, il-Gudja.

Police convened immediately on site and preliminary investigations showed that a crash had taken place between a Suzuki Baleno driven by a 49 year old man resident of Swieqi and a Hyundai Getz driven by a 19 year old man resident of San Ġwann.

The Hyundai swerved onto the opposite lane and crashed into a Renault Captur.

The Renault was driven by a 50 year old man. Riding in the car with him were two women aged 69 and 43, as well as a 14 year old boy and girl resident of Rabat.

A medical team was called on site and transported the 43 year old woman along with the two children to Mater Dei.

The 14 year old boy was certified as having suffered grievous injuries, with the 14 year old girl and the 43 year old woman suffered light injuries.

Investigations are still ongoing.
