According to information by Eurostat, 12.7% of employed Maltese worked from home in 2025.
This was above the 8.9% average of employed people in the EU in 2025.
The highest share was registered in Finland at 20.9%, followed by Ireland and Belgium at 19.8% and 13.5%.
The lowest rate was registered in Romania at just 1.3%, followed by Bulgaria and Greece at 1.4% and 2.3% respectively.
