116 People Killed On EU-Registered Aircraft In 2025, Eurostat Reports

A Eurostat study has revealed that 116 people lost their lives in EU-registered aircraft accidents during 2025. Non-commercial flights saw over 100 deaths, while commercial planes only recorded 4 casualties.
2024 had 25 fewer aviation-related deaths, with 91 casualties and 3 commercial incidents.
However, while the death count is higher, 2025 saw less injuries, dropping from 215 in 2024 to 143 last year.
