112 Songs Released On Mużika Mużika Since 2021

The much anticipated Maltese music festival Mużika Mużika, organised by Festivals Malta, will celebrate its sixth edition and will take place between 19 and 21 March 2026.
Preparations for the festival have now reached their final stages, with intensive work under way by the production team, technical crews and the artists themselves.
The Minister for Culture, Lands and Local Government, Owen Bonnici, together with Festivals Malta, announced that tickets for this musical event are now on sale and can be purchased from www.muzikamuzika.mt.

“Mużika Mużika is not just a competition, but a celebration of the Maltese song, and of the talent and dedication of the many people involved,” said Bonnici. He recalled the 112 recordings released since the festival’s inception, noting that this reflects the importance of Mużika Mużika in creating a lasting musical legacy, particularly in relation to the Maltese language.
The Chairman of Festivals Malta, Aaron Zahra, said that as in previous years, both audiences in the hall and television viewers can expect a high quality spectacle. He explained that work is ongoing to once again deliver a top level production, featuring a spectacular and unique stage, a live orchestra and exclusively local artists.
Last year, the festival attracted 320,000 television viewers across the three evenings, with even higher figures expected this year.

Festivals Malta Chief Executive Officer Frans Agius announced that the same format as last year will be adopted, with 16 finalist songs competing on Thursday and again during the final on Saturday, allowing the artists’ work to be fully appreciated.
Mużika Mużika Chairman Raymond Bugeja outlined the voting process and announced the presenters: Keith Demicoli, Ira Losco, Jacqui Losco and Jamie Cardona.
Artistic Director Paul Abela confirmed that Friday 20 March will feature the Classics Night, with veteran singers performing well known Maltese songs.
The festival will be held at the MFCC, Ta’ Qali, and broadcast live on television at 9pm between 19 and 21 March 2026.
