100 Families Expected To Benefit From €880,000 Social Housing Renovation

Around 100 families are set to benefit from an €880,000 project to renovate and improve 16 residential blocks in Żejtun.
While visiting the site, Minister for Accommodation and Lands Owen Bonnici said that the ongoing work to renovate the 96 Żejtun apartments forms part of their wider plans to invest in the quality of Malta’s social housing.
Bonnici said improving social housing goes beyond constructing new apartments, stressing the importance of maintaining existing properties and providing residents with a safer, more dignified living environment.
Works in Żejtun began in May 2026 and are expected to be completed by the end of December.
