1,200,000 Litres Of Water To Extinguish Ħal Għaxaq Industrial Fire

A whopping 1,200,000 litres of water were used to extinguish the Ħal Għaxaq Industrial fire yesterday evening after it broke out in a scrap yard.
The fire was successfully extinguished, but it took 97 firefighters, 16 hours of non-stop work, 12 senior fire officers and 24 fire appliances to do so.
The Civil Protection Malta extended its gratitude to the many agencies who assisted in the collaboration:
The Malta Police Force, Mater Dei Hospital Emergency Department, Transport Malta, CPD Volunteers, Emergency Fire & Rescue Unit, St John Ambulance & Rescue Malta, Private water contractors and J.Micallef service station.
