Rehearsals are currently underway as the Armed Forces of Malta (AFM) prepare for the Independence Day Parade, scheduled for Sunday, 21st September 2025, at 9:00 a.m. in Valletta.
Independence Day, commemorates Malta’s liberation from British colonial rule on 21st September 1964. After over 150 years under British rule, Malta gained full independence, marking a significant milestone in the nation’s history.
