A delicate 14 hour search and rescue at the Corradino building collapse ended at 2am on Sunday.
In a social media post Minister Byron Camilleri announced that the missing worker was unfortunately found dead by rescuers of the Civil Protection Department.
One News identified the dead worker as 20 year old JeanPaul Sofia.
Earlier, five other workers were pulled out alive from the rubble but suffered serious injuries.
The men were working at the building site, in Paola’s Corradino Industrial Estate, when the multi-storey building partially collapsed at around 10am on Saturday.

Netherlands have made it to the last eight of the World Cup after beating a tough opposition in USA with a score of 3-1.
Despite USA dominating the first few passages of play, Netherlands scored the opener early on through a well placed finish by striker Memphis Depay who started the tournament with an injury.
To end the half the Dutch scored another goal which was near identical to the first one only this time it was scored by experienced left wing back Daley Blind in the 46th minute.
In the 76th minute USA managed to get a goal back from a Haji Wright deflection that found its way in the top left corner of the Dutch goal.
Their comeback aspiration were quickly killed off by the Dutch as Denzel Dumfries scored a wonderful volley to add to his two assists, in the 81st minute.
The Oranje will now face the winner of Argentina versus Australia in the quarter final.

Newly-surface footage shows the exact moment a building within the Corradino Industrial Estate in Paola collapsed on Saturday morning.
Five workers were rescued from the wreckage of the building whose structural integrity was compromised, all while the delicate operation continues to find the so-far missing sixth person.
Civil protection officials and a medical team were on site within moments of the incident, with three of the men currently being treated at Mater Dei’s intensive treatment unit after suffering critical injuries, another suffering grievous injuries while the fifth individual is currently being assessed.
The public is being advised to avoid the area.
