Applications For Mużika Mużika 2026 Now Open!

Applications for Mużika Mużika are now officially open, launching the journey towards the sixth edition of the festival, which will take place between 19 and 21 March 2026.

Interested participants can apply online via muzikamuzika.mt until 19 September 2025, or submit their applications in person at the Festivals Malta offices in Floriana on 18 or 19 September 2025.

The Minister for Culture, Lands and Local Government, Owen Bonnici, expressed his pride in the continued growth of the Mużika Mużika platform, which creates new opportunities for Maltese artists.

He said this achievement reflects the government’s ongoing commitment to culture and national identity, and encouraged creatives to take part in strengthening Malta’s musical voice.

Chairman of Festivals Malta Aaron Zahra, CEO Frans Agius, Mużika Mużika Board Chairman Raymond Bugeja, and Artistic Director Paul Abela highlighted the festival’s success over the past five years and confirmed that preparations for the upcoming edition are already underway.

As in previous years, Mużika Mużika remains dedicated to promoting original compositions in the Maltese language.

During the same event, trophies were awarded to the winners of the fifth edition. The winning song was “Stajna Konna Aħna” by Jamie Cardona. Other awardees included Brooke, Pamela Bezzina, Lisa Gauci and Ryan Paul Abela.

Festivals Malta thanked all participating artists and congratulated this year’s winners.
