Anton Refalo Hails Animal Welfare And RMJ for Saving Caramel and Honey

Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Animal Rights, Anton Refalo has praised the work of Animal Welfare Malta and RMJ’s Horse Rescue after two horses, Caramel and Honey, were given a second chance at life.

In 2022, the horses were found in an emaciated state, reduced to little more than skin and bone. They were rescued by Animal Welfare and, through the care and dedication of RMJ, lovingly rehabilitated. Today, they are enjoying a safe and happy life in the United Kingdom.

“From sorrow to joy, Caramel and Honey are now experiencing what every horse deserves: safety, health, and great love,” Refalo said. He expressed heartfelt thanks to all those who ensured the animals now have a secure home filled with happiness.

“This is precisely why I feel such pride in the work being done. Thanks to dedication and commitment, stories like these become reality,” he added
