Feb 12 2024 Share

The Busker has unveiled their latest release through a visual performance titled “Afraid to Call This Art.”

This performance premiered during the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2024 Final, serving as their farewell to their status as last year’s winners and paving the way for Sarah Bonnici.

‘Today marks one year since Malta chose us to represent the country in the Eurovision Song Contest. It was a great opportunity that took us all around Europe to perform our winning song in front of thousands of people’, the trio wrote on social media.

‘We gained millions of streams and new followers, which allows us to keep writing and releasing music. Even though we didn’t get the result we hoped for our home country, we made sure to get Malta’s name out there, and we’re incredibly proud of that.’

Showcasing the band’s past, present, and future in the form of a medley, the performance featured the debut of their upcoming song “Before,” set for release later this year.

Additionally, they merged their current releases “Thinking About You” and “Bulletproof,” along with their winning hit song from MESC 2023, “Dance (Our Own Party).”

After a busy 2023, the musical trio will now take the time to focus on crafting new original songs and planning their next career move.

First Trailer For Deadpool & Wolverine Drops

First Trailer For Deadpool & Wolverine Drops
Feb 12 2024 Share

After nearly six years, Deadpool makes a triumphant return, now entering the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) following the conclusion of Fox’s “X-Men” franchise and Disney’s acquisition.

The Super Bowl trailer for “Deadpool and Wolverine” unveiled this highly anticipated crossover, reintroducing Ryan Reynolds’ Merc With a Mouth alongside Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine, previously seen in 2017’s “Logan.”

The trailer showcases Deadpool’s abduction by the Time Variance Authority, the multiverse overseers introduced in “Loki” Season 2, as they bring him into the MCU.

Embracing his irreverent style, Deadpool dubs himself “Marvel Jesus,” promising to infuse Disney’s typically family-friendly brand with his trademark R-rated humour and meta commentary. Although Wolverine’s face remains unseen, his presence looms large, setting up a tantalising confrontation teased at the trailer’s end.

Production setbacks, including a four-month delay due to a SAG-AFTRA strike, have slightly altered the schedule for “Deadpool 3,” shifting its release date from May 3 to July 26.

The franchise’s earlier instalments achieved significant box office success, with “Deadpool 2” breaking records upon its 2018 release.

Director Shawn Levy hints at an homage to “Star Wars” in “Deadpool 3,” illustrating the creative freedom and personal investment he feels within the expansive Marvel universe.

Levy’s collaboration with Ryan Reynolds underscores their shared vision for the franchise, promising an exciting continuation for fans eagerly awaiting Deadpool’s next adventure.
