Amber Addresses Hate Towards All Islanders

Recently eliminated Love Island Malta Season 3 contestant Amber has spoken out on social media, addressing the public criticism aimed at islanders. In a direct statement, Amber called for more understanding and empathy towards those who appear on the show.

“This is not coming from a defensive point of view but more from a reality aspect,” she wrote.

Amber explained that viewers only see edited portions of the contestants’ daily lives, adding that “no one is a perfect human, and everyone has their crosses to bear.”

She highlighted the emotional and mental impact the show has on its participants, noting that islanders “go through so many changes before, during, and after the show,” and urged the public to “show love and respect” rather than hate.

Amber also clarified that despite the show’s format, islanders do open up in genuine ways. “You forget about all the cameras inside, to be quite honest,” she wrote, explaining how this makes it easier for contestants to be vulnerable and form real bonds in the villa.

She addressed a specific moment from episode three, where she discussed a personal issue.

“It was something I felt comfortable talking about with the girls,” she said, adding that producers did not prompt her to share.

“By saying it during the morning talk, I knew there was a chance that it would be aired. This did not bother me… it helped raise awareness.” Amber concluded by encouraging viewers to be kinder and more supportive.
