Almost 140,000 Passengers Travelled To Gozo For Santa Marija Feast Week

According to Tuesday’s edition of L-Orizzont, 139,542 people travelled to Gozo via the Gozo Channel during Santa Marija feast week and the extended weekend, an increase of around 3,800 passengers compared with the same period last year.
This figure excludes travel on other services, including Gozo Fast Ferry.
Between 11 and 17 August, Gozo Channel vessels made 704 journeys, transporting more than 46,600 vehicles between Malta and Gozo.
The busiest day for passengers from Ċirkewwa was Thursday, the eve of Santa Marija, when over 11,600 people travelled to Gozo. At Mġarr Harbour, Sunday saw around 12,700 passengers return to Malta.
