Alex Borg’s Partner Apologises For Driving With Expired Licence And Insurance

Alex Borg’s partner Sarah Bajada, has issued a public apology after being stopped at a Transport Malta roadblock and discovering that both her vehicle licence and insurance had expired.

In a statement, she explained that until last year her employer had managed the renewals on her behalf. Since leaving the company, responsibility for these matters shifted to her, but due to an intensive campaign schedule she inadvertently missed the July 2025 renewal deadline.

She recounted that she only realised the lapse when she was stopped while driving to pick up her son. “There is no excuse, and I take full responsibility,” she said, adding that she will follow the necessary procedures to resolve the matter.

The statement concluded with a note of personal accountability: “Like anyone else, I am not perfect, and I should have taken care of this matter in due course.”
