Alex Borg Reveals Four New Appointments For Nationalist Party

The Nationalist Party (PN) yesterday evening launched this year’s Independence festivities with a lively gathering at Pjazza Tritoni, marked by strong youth participation and enthusiastic crowds.

Addressing the event, PN leader Alex Borg unveiled several key appointments within the party’s structure, stating that these roles would not only strengthen the PN but also ensure it truly becomes “the party of the nation”.

Borg announced that Dr Sabine Agius Cabourdin has been appointed as the PN’s new Chief Executive. Dr Agius Cabourdin is a lawyer specialising in commercial and property law, founder of consultancy firm SA Consult, and active in the business, hospitality and cultural heritage sectors. She is also President of the BOV Joseph Calleja Foundation, founder and director of the FIDEM Foundation, and a member of the Malta Women’s Lobby, where she has been a prominent advocate for women’s rights, equality, education and community wellbeing.

Simon Vella Gregory has been appointed Campaign Manager. With a professional background in journalism, media and public communication, Vella Gregory previously served as the PN’s Director of Communications and continues to work in media production and cultural initiatives.

Damian Spiteri will head the leader’s Secretariat. A qualified accountant with both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Malta, Spiteri has worked as an auditor for multinational and local firms. He is also the PN’s mayor in Munxar, Gozo.

Dr Ing. Simon Mizzi has been named Chairperson of the Leadership Delivery Office. A graduate in engineering from the University of Malta with a doctorate from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, he built his career in the aviation sector in the UK before returning to Malta to establish a private consultancy and lecture at the University of Malta. He is married with three children.
