Local singer and songwriter Aidan announced that a new EP album is coming March 7th, featuring some new tracks and some others more familiar.

The album seems to be called ‘Wild, Wild, Wild’, and includes the songs;
‘2×2’, ‘Juliette’, ‘Paradise’, ‘Hero’, ‘Sorry’, ‘A Love Song’ and ‘Just A Little Bit’.

A new green space is set to be developed in Mqabba, transforming an unused 1,000-square-metre reservoir into a community park. Parliamentary Secretary for Public Works, Omar Farrugia, announced the project, which aims to create a tranquil environment for residents while enhancing sustainability.
The reservoir, previously used only for rainwater collection, will undergo maintenance work in the project’s first phase.
This will ensure that rainwater continues to be gathered, both reducing flooding in the area and providing irrigation for the trees and plants that will be planted.
Farrugia highlighted the project’s significance for Mqabba families, saying it will benefit children, youths, and the elderly. “This transformation will offer a peaceful retreat while contributing to cleaner air and a better quality of life,” he stated.
Mqabba mayor Grace Marie Zerafa welcomed the initiative, describing it as one of the best projects for the locality and commending the government’s commitment to environmental improvements.
With an investment of €700,000, the project will feature soft landscaping, benches, 20 new parking spaces, a photovoltaic system for sustainability, and a security system, creating a welcoming space for residents both day and night.

The newly formed Momentum party, led by Arnold Cassola, is calling on all Maltese citizens who value democracy to join Sunday’s protest in Valletta at 4 p.m. against the government’s rushed magisterial inquiry reform.
In a statement on Friday, Momentum’s general secretary, Mark Camilleri Gambin, acknowledged that the only positive aspect of the proposed amendments is ensuring that victims are regularly updated on inquiries and have automatic access to the final report.
“For everything else, these amendments are straight out of an authoritarian playbook designed to strip citizens of their fundamental rights,” he said.
He criticised Prime Minister Robert Abela and Justice Minister Jonathan Attard, stating they cannot ignore public outcry and erode democratic safeguards.
The government claims the reform will modernise Malta’s legal system and prevent inquiries from being used as a “tool for persecution.” However, critics, including former Chief Justice Silvio Camilleri, argue it will protect politicians and their allies from scrutiny.
Momentum has urged Labour MPs to oppose the bill, warning against repeating past mistakes like shielding Konrad Mizzi or rejecting a public inquiry into Jean Paul Sofia’s death.
