A road accident was reported on Valletta Road, Zurrieq this morning by Maltese Roads Traffic Updates as the rain continues pour over the Maltese islands.
Drivers and commuters are being asked to drive slowly and carefully in the rain so as to avoid any further incidents.
Last night, a bus was reported to have skidded and collided with a tree at Mdina Road, H’Attard in the direction of Rabat.
It is unclear whether anyone was injured in either incident reported.

Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly (MGK) are expecting their first child together, as Fox announced in a striking Instagram post.
In her post, the actress shared a nearly nude photo with her baby bump covered in black liquid, alongside an image of a positive pregnancy test. She captioned it, “Nothing is ever really lost,” and paired it with MGK’s song “Last November,” a track reportedly inspired by their experience with pregnancy loss in 2023.

The pregnancy is especially meaningful for the couple, as it follows a previous miscarriage, which Fox has openly discussed.
She reflected on the experience in her poetry collection, Pretty Boys Are Poisonous, and shared in an interview how it deeply affected them both, sending them on a “wild journey” as they coped with the loss.
Together since 2020 and engaged in 2022, Fox and MGK’s relationship has been intense and transformative, despite challenges, including a briefly broken engagement and trust issues.
Fox, already a mother to three children with ex-husband Brian Austin Green, will be welcoming her fourth child, while MGK shares a daughter with his ex Emma Cannon.

October 2023 was recorded as Malta’s third driest October, with only 4.2 mm of rain, well below the average 77.8 mm.
This lack of rain continued a dry trend from the previous year, where October 2022 only recorded 0.2 mm of rain. Most of last month’s rain fell in a 24-hour period toward the end of October, along with three thunderstorms, slightly below the typical five for the month.
October also experienced warmer-than-average temperatures, with a monthly mean of 22.5°C, almost a degree above the usual.
The month’s highest temperature was 29.9°C, recorded on October 9th, while the lowest was 16.2°C on October 30th. Historical records for October temperatures include a high of 34.5°C in 1999 and a low of 8°C in 1978.
Sunny weather dominated, totalling 227.3 hours of sunshine, which is above average. The sunniest day was October 1st with 10.9 hours, while October 19th, with less than an hour of sunlight, was the dullest.
Wind conditions matched the seasonal norm, with the strongest gust reaching 41 knots from a south-westerly direction on October 19th.
