Local Tattooist Pranks Grandma With PN Logo Tattoo

In a video shared to TikTok, tattoo artist Maya Fenech decided to prank her latest client – who happened to be her grandmother – by replacing the design she actually wanted.

And what were the designs you may ask? Well, dear old grandma wanted the Labour torch tattooed on her leg, but Maya decided to have some fun with it.

She covered the tattoo transfer paper of the actual tattoo with the Nationalist Party logo and stuck it to her grandma’s foot.

She then asked her to go take a peek in the mirror. At first, her grandma remained oblivious to what Maya had just done, but once she eventually caught on, she humorously lashed out.

‘Remove it or I’ll kill you’, her grandma joked as Maya cried with laughter. The video amassed a whopping 41.2K views on TikTok, with comments piling in to express how much they loved granny’s energy.

Maya also took a moment to explain ahead of the video that the video is not intended to offend anyone, given how deeply some people feel about their political affiliation.

‘Seance’ Star Snaps Photos Of Malta’s Carnival

As Hollywood stars from the cast of upcoming film ‘Ascent’ head to Malta for filming, we got more behind the scenes looks from their time off in Malta through posts shared on their personal profiles.

Among them was ‘Seance’ star Inanna Sarkis, who headed to Malta’s Carnival in Valletta and captured some of the island’s essence during the period.

Posing alongside floats and iconic red telephone boxes, some of her photos also capture the architecture and the hustle and bustle of everyday life on the island.

‘Mela, a girls day off…’ wrote Inanna in her caption.

Inanna isn’t the only star from the film to be sharing photos, with Gregg Sulkin and Timothy Granaderos all sharing posts of their own.

Domestic Violence Reports Up 112% Between 2014 & 2024

According to the Crimemalta Observatory ‘Annual Crime Review’ for the year 2024, domestic violence reports saw a 112% increase within the span of 10 years (2014 – 2024).

Domestic violence was the fourth most reported offence in Malta at 13.4%, following theft, damages and fraud.

‘Domestic Violence increased by 7%, (154 cases) from 2,071 cases in 2023 to 2,225 cases in 2024 (6.5% of all 2024 cases).’

‘Psychological Harm increased by 180 cases (12% from 2023) and comprises 78% of all domestic violence cases.’

The study also noted how psychological harm accounted for 78% of all domestic violence crimes in 2024.
