84% Of Maltese Used Internet Connected Devices In 2024

According to new data released by Eurostat, it was revealed that 84.20% of people in Malta used internet connected devices, otherwise known as smart objects or ‘Internet of Things’ (IoT), in 2024.
This is well above the EU average of 70.9%, with The Netherlands boasting the highest use at 94.81%.
Norway and Ireland followed suit at 93.06% and 90.64% respectively.
Malta is in the top 10 of use, following Spain’s 84.54%.
Meanwhile, Poland had the lowest rate of use at 46.1%, followed by Bulgaria at 50.8% and Romania at 56.6% respectively.
