71-Year-Old Woman Dies in Fgura Collision Involving Prime Minister’s Parents

A 71-year-old woman from Ħaż-Żabbar has tragically lost her life following a serious traffic accident in Fgura on Sunday afternoon, which also involved the parents of Prime Minister Robert Abela.

The woman was a passenger in a Toyota Corolla being driven by a 23-year-old woman, also from Żabbar, who is currently in critical condition.

The collision occurred with an Audi Q3 driven by President Emeritus George Abela. His wife Margaret was also in the vehicle, along with a 42-year-old woman and two boys aged 14 and 11.

Both George and Margaret Abela are reported to be in stable condition, while the medical condition of the other passengers in the Audi is still being evaluated.

Police investigations into the cause of the crash are currently underway.
