7 Cars Catch Fire Late At Night in Marsaskala

The Civil Protection Department successfully tackled a major blaze involving seven cars in Triq il-Maħsel, Marsaskala, late last night at around 11:30PM.

Footage shared on the Department’s social media shows firefighters working intensively to bring the flames under control.

Thankfully, no injuries were reported. Police officers and ambulance crews were also on site to assist with the emergency response.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, though it is currently being treated as suspicious.

Magistrate Joe Mifsud is leading the inquiry, while investigators remain on the scene this morning to determine what may have triggered the incident.
