More than 600 chief executives, entrepreneurs, and business professionals gathered at the MCC for one of the most anticipated corporate conferences of the year, presented by Business Leaders Malta in collaboration with Malta Daily.

Now in its 12th edition, the Business Leaders Malta Conference has cemented itself as one of the island’s premier business events. This year’s theme, “Ahead of the Game,” focused on preparing businesses for the future, with discussions on AI, innovation, and strategies to stay competitive in an ever-evolving landscape.

Dust from Saharan set to affect Malta next week.

Higher-than-usual levels of Saharan desert dust are expected to reach Malta between Sunday, March 23, and Thursday, March 27, 2025, according to reports from www.bnazzi.com.

Dust levels are expected to peak from Monday to Wednesday March 24th-26th.

The dust event is caused by a low-pressure system over North Africa, driving strong winds that lift desert dust across the Mediterranean.

Investigators continue to believe the fire was not the result of a deliberate act, but stress inquiries are at an early stage

The Heathrow fire has left more than 16,000 homes without power.

A Heathrow spokesperson said,”To ensure the safety of our passengers and staff, we have no choice but to close Heathrow until 11:59 PM on 21 March 2025.”

Indian Nurse Arrested Following Altercation At Mater Dei Hospital Involving Sharp Object

Police have arrested a 36 year old Indian man in connection with an attack at Mater Dei Hospital.

The arrest follows an ongoing investigation into the stabbing of a 41 year old Indian nurse who was grievously injured yesterday evening with a sharp object by a male nurse.

The suspect fled the scene after the altrecation but authorities have now confirmed his location and apprehended him.

The male nurse is currently in custody for further questioning and is expected to be arraigned in court in the coming days.
