60% Of Malta’s Streets Being Cleaned Daily

In a recent conference, Minister Miraim Dalli highlighted the ongoing efforts to enhance street cleanliness. Whereby the Cleansing and Maintenance Division has reported a significant 40% reduction in complaints over the past two years

Over 60% of residential streets across the island are now cleaned daily, benefiting communities in over 20 local councils.

Parliamentary Secretary Glenn Bedingfield highlighted the success of the agreements with 23 local councils, stating, “Through close collaboration with local councils, we’re not just addressing cleanliness occasionally, but making it an integral part of daily life.” He also noted that over 870 streets are now cleaned every day.
