Studies show that Black coffee can be good for your heart!

Black and caffeinated coffee has hit another home run! Studies have found that drinking one or more cups of black coffee is linked to a long-term reduced risk of heart failure.

Three major studies used analytical tools from the American Heart Association. This benefit, however, does not extend to decaffeinated coffee.

With decaf coffee, the risk of heart failure was actually found to be increased.

Pete Buttigieg announces consideration if COVID-19 testing for US domestic travel

Transportation Secretary, Pete Buttigieg has announced the possibility of mandatory COVID-19 testing for domestic US travel and part of the considerations of the Biden administration.

Buttigieg mentioned that an active conversation is ongoing with the CDC in order to decide if this is something that should be implemented or not.

Buttigieg also said that this decision will be guided by data, science, medicine and by the input of the people who will be carrying this out.

The number of vehicles on Malta’s roads hits record of over 400,000

A study was published by the National Statistics Office saying the number of licensed vehicles on Maltese roads has exceeded the 400,000 mark for the first time and the number now lies at 400,586.

In 2017 the number of licensed vehicles on Maltese roads stood at 361,552 which is significantly less than the number calculated at the end of September 2020.

76.8% of the number of vehicles were passenger cars while 13.8% were commercial motor vehicles.
