54 Year Old Diver Dies After Finding Difficulty In Dwejra, Gozo

A 54 year old German woman has unfortunately lost her life whilst she was diving in Dwejra, in Gozo’s San Lawrenz.
The incident happened at around 1230hrs. Police convened immediately on site along with a medical team from Gozo General Hospital as well as Civil Protection Malta and Armed Forces of Malta assistance.
They found the victim on land after she was brought ashore by other persons in the area.
Despite medical assistance provided, the woman was unfortunately deemed deceased on site.
An inquiry has been opened and investigations are ongoing.
