5 places to take your kids this Christmas

With Christmas just around the corner, most parents will be looking for places where its safe to take their kids this Christmas.

We’ve compiled a list of places that are pandemic-safe and great for children during the festive season!

1. The Malta National Aquarium

The Malta National Aquarium has been gearing up for the Christmas season, with Christmas activities ranging all the way from the 22nd of December to the 6th of January.

Whether it’s Puppet shows, storytelling, gingerbread making or looking for Christmas elves, the Malta National Aquarium is one great place to take your kids this Christmas.

2. Esplora Interactive Science Centre

You can find Santa’s Workshop at Esplora, but of course, with a twist! Here you’ll find Elf Chemists, robots working together to power Santa’s sleigh and you can also make Christmas tree ornaments.

Esplora will be closed on Wednesday 25th December, Monday 30th December and Wednesday 1st January.

3. The Magical Illuminated Trail

The Magical Illuminated Trail is another perfect place to take your kids this Christmas. It’s especially ideal since you can enjoy the Christmas treat from the safety of your own car.

Drive through the magical lights this Christmas and let them transport you into an absolute wonderland! The Magical Illuminated Trail is open until the 10th of January.

4. Popeye Village

Popeye Village will once again be transformed into a Christmas wonderland this year.

All safety-measures have been taken and arrangements have been made to conform to the regulations.

Walks through Santa’s toy town will still be given, in small groups and at intervals in order to ensure safety. Popeye Village will be open for Christmas all the way from 19th of December to the 5th of January.

5. VCA Christmas Stories & Puppet Show in Valletta

The VCA Christmas Stories & Puppet Show will be taking place on the 23rd of December. A re-telling of different Christmas stories will be performed in 40-minute instalments.

They’ve advised interested people to book their places in advance in order to make sure than COVID-19 regulations will be followed.

Spartans secured another win and are now in a great chance to end the season with equal point with the Sliema Wanderers if all goes well at their next match against Tarxien Rainbows.

Reproduction factor continues to decline in Malta, now down to 0.63%

Last week, statistician Vincent Marmara informed the Maltese public that the reproduction factor of the COVID-19 virus has declined to 0.75% in the Maltese Islands.

This week it has further declined to 0.63%, meaning that each infected person now infects less than one person on average.
