42-Year-Old Motorcyclist Dies In Birkirkara Collision

This morning, at around 5:20am, police were informed of a traffic accident in Triq Salvu Psaila, Birkirkara.

Collision occurred between a Kymco motorcycle, driven by a 42-year-old man from Nepal who resided in Birkirkara, and a Maserati Levante. Following the impact, the car also crashed into three parked vehicles. However, the driver and two passengers of the Maserati fled the scene.

A medical team arrived to assist the motorcyclist, but sadly, he was certified dead at the scene.

One of the car’s passengers, an 18-year-old woman from Mosta, was found a short time later in the vicinity and placed under arrest. Due to injuries sustained in the crash, she was taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
