32 year old motorcyclist dies after Sliema road accident

Police were informed yesterday at around 2300hrs that an accident had taken place in Triq it-Torri, Sliema.
Preliminary investigations showed that a crash had taken place between an Isuzu D-Max driven by a 29-year-old Syrian resident of Marsaskala, and a Piaggio Vespa driven by a 32-year-old Macedonian.The motorcyclist was given first medical attention on site and later taken to Mater Dei Hospital. Unfortunately, he passed away a few moments later at the hospital.
Another 33-year-old Macedonian resident of San Gwann and who was riding passenger on the motorcycle, suffered grievous injuries. Investigations are ongoing and an inquiry has been opened.
