3 Abandoned Young Pigeons Rescued From Busy Roads By Malta Rangers Unit
Local

Yesterday, the Malta Ranger Unit responded to two separate reports from concerned members of the public regarding young pigeons found abandoned on busy roads.

Thanks to the vigilance of the public and the swift action of our Rangers, three baby pigeons were safely retrieved and taken into foster care.

Cleopatra, the youngest of the trio, was discovered in San Ġwann. She’ll require some extra attention due to her age. Malta Ranger Unit said, “we’re smitten with her fabulous little hairstyle!”

The older pigeons, now named Tom and Jerry, were found huddled together on a doorstep in Sliema, both dehydrated and clearly malnourished. Although they are slightly older than Cleopatra, their condition was severe, and they would not have survived without urgent care.

The pigeons, now named Tom, Jerry and Cleopatra, were all found abandoned and are currently being cared for.
