2 Men Arrested After Elder’s Homes Robbery & Theft Attempts

Two men, aged 38 and 51 yers, were arrested after investigations in relation to a robbery and the attempt of an arrest from private elderly homes in Imġarr and Ħal Għaxaq.
The first case took place on the 19th of October at a residence located in Triq Sir Temi Zammit, l-Imġarr.
Investigations showed that unknown persons had broken down the door and stole €18,000 in cash.
The second case took place on the 26th of October. Police were informed that the door of a home in Triq San Filippu, Ħal Għaxaq.
However, the robber ran away from the scene before entering the second premises.
In relation to these cases, two men were identified. They are set to be taken to court today at around 1330hrs.
