The red list of countries from which people can travel to Malta without having to quarantine has just been updated, with the changes set to come into effect Thursday. The list includes 19 new countries which are in no particular order: Bahrain, Gabon, Kuwait, Maldives, Bermuda, Mongolia, Russia, Rwanda, Cape Verde, Namibia, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Myanmar, Malaysia, Tunisia, Morocco, Iraq, South Africa, Timor and India. Travelers from these countries who are in possession of a vaccine certificate will not need to quarantine.
Malta also currently recognizes vaccine certificates issued by Malta, EU, UK, UAE, US, Serbia, Turkey, Gibraltar, Jersey and Guernsey, Qatar, Albania, Australia, Egypt, Lebanon and Canada. High-risk country travelers had to previously quarantine in designated hotels, but these measures have since been relaxed. Travelers in such cases who are residents of Malta can now therefore quarantine in their home.
