11,253 Speeding Tickets Between 2020 & 2023

Home Affairs Minister Byron Camilleri reported on Monday that officials employing speed guns issued 11,253 speeding tickets between 2020 and 2023, resulting in a revenue of €761,110.61 for the government.
An additional €48,662.44 is pending payment. The minister disclosed that the police use four speed guns, while the Law Enforcement Standards Agency (LESA) utilises one.The highest recorded speed during this period was 147 km/h on Triq M.A Vassalli in Gżira. These details were provided in response to questions posed by Nationalist MP Adrian Delia.
