102 COVID-19 cases registered overnight with 82 recoveries

Malta has registered 102 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours from 2,851 swab tests, while 82 patients have recovered. This information was announced by the official Facebook page of Malta’s Ministry for Health.

From yesterday’s cases; 9 cases were family members of previously known cases, 12 cases were contact of positive work colleagues and 4 cases were direct contacts with other positive cases and 1 case was from a social gatherings with other positive cases.

To date, Malta has registered 7,243 COVID-19 cases in total, of which: 5,185 have recovered, 78 died and 1,980 are still active.

Yorgen Fenech takes issue with Jason Azzopardi’s comments, claims conflict of interest

In a court statement on Monday, Yorgen Fenech claimed that Jason Azzopardi caused “irreparable damage” with statements made by the Caruana Galizia family lawyer on a radio show a few days back. 

Azzopardi had replied in the affirmative when asked whether or not, in his opinion, Yorgen Fenech is guilty on talk show Għandi xi Ngħid hosted by Andrew Azzopardi.

Fenech’s lawyers argued a conflict of interest between Jason Azzopardi’s role in the Caruana Galizia murder case and his role as shadow minister.

“COVID-19 will not kill Christmas” stated following of ‘Christmas in the City’

Jason Micallef, Chairman of Valletta Cultural Agency stated that “COVID-19 will not kill Christmas” during the launch of the month-long ‘Christmas in the City’ event in Valletta.

In an attempt to maintain Christmas spirit and keeping Valletta alive as a tourist hub, Tourism Minister Julia Farrugia Portelli stated that the MTA and the ministry has been hard at work to ‘support the industry in a regulated manner’.

‘Christmas in the City’ will start from 20th November until the end of the year with an entire agenda of Christmas activities.

David Guetta ranks as world’s number one in DJ Mag polls

French superstar David Guetta shows that he’s still got it after topping DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs poll after 9 years away from the number one spot. 

The 53-year-old stated that he feels happier than the first time the ranked number one because it’s a different time in DJ culture, especially with the lack of touring. 

Right after Guetta come Belgian duo Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike, Martin Garrix, Armin van Buuren and Brazilian DJ Alok.
