A Zabbar Band Club has set a new local record with a fireworks display that captivated festa-goers during the village feast.
After more than 12 hours of preparation, the event featured what ‘The Malta Records’ called largest-ever ground fireworks (known locally as “tapit tan-nar tal-art”). This spectacular display, including a high number of spinning wheels and intricate fireworks known as “antarjoli,” was ignited in the main square of Haz-Zabbar during the celebrations.

The show took place after the march held by the Għaqda Madonna tal-Grazzja Banda San Mikiel Żabbar AD 1883, with the fireworks scheduled to begin around midnight in Zabbar’s Misraħ is-Sliem. In addition to the grand fireworks carpet, two other ground fireworks pieces were set off.
The pyrotechnic team behind this display was praised for their tireless dedication and effort in creating such a memorable event. Massive amounts of praise poured in from the community, who gathered in anticipation of an unforgettable night for Għaqda Madonna tal-Grazzja Banda San Mikiel Żabbar AD 1883 .
