Minister for National Heritage, Arts, and Local Government Owen Bonnici, along with the Parliamentary Secretary for Active Ageing, visited the Timeless Tales: A Theatre Project.
This initiative brings together children aged 8 to 15 and elderly individuals from Active Ageing Centres. Starting on July 1st, the project hosts theatre sessions every Monday from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm at the Central Public Library.
These sessions, led by theatre experts, cover various topics including scriptwriting, acting, and dancing.
The first session, held on Monday, July 1st, focused on ‘How to brainstorm and write a script’.
The sessions will continue until Monday, August 5th. The project will culminate in a theatrical production featuring all participating children and elderly individuals.
This final performance, open to the public, will take place on Monday, August 5th, at the Central Public Library.
Timeless Tales: A Theatre Project aims to promote diversity and inclusion by allowing children and the elderly to share their thoughts and ideas while working together for the community’s benefit.
The project is organized by Malta Libraries with support from the Directorate for Active Ageing and Community Care, and funded by APS Bank.
