Lorinda Mamo, Henry’s loving mother, used the power of Instagram to share her gratitude and happiness with the world. In a heartfelt post, she expressed her appreciation for the exceptional care provided by the medical team attending to Henry. She showered praise on the surgeons, doctors, and nurses who had worked tirelessly to ensure her son’s well-being. Her message was one of profound thanks: “You’re all amazing – so amazing.”
“The days get long and lonely, and you truly helped me more than you know,” Lorinda wrote, highlighting the emotional toll that such a journey can take on a parent.
Henry’s journey began immediately after his birth when he was diagnosed with Prune Belly Syndrome and Chronic Kidney Disease. For the first six weeks of his life, he remained in the Neonatal Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (NPICU) at Mater Dei Hospital, where a dedicated team of medical professionals closely monitored his condition.
At the tender age of four, Henry received a life-changing gift from his father—a kidney donation that would ultimately save his life.
Lorinda, Henry’s mother, has been chronicling their remarkable journey on the Instagram page ‘abirdwithafrenchfry,’ where thousands of followers have the opportunity to witness the triumph of love, family, and the indomitable human spirit.
