Children from across Malta are using their artistic talents to raise awareness about environmental and social issues in the ‘Young Artists Big Impact’ Children’s Art Expo, currently on display at Spazju Kreattiv.
Organised by the Sustainable Development Directorate within the Ministry for the Environment, Energy and Public Cleanliness, the exhibition gives children a platform to share their ideas for a greener future.
Students in Years 4 to 6 from 14 schools submitted a total of 247 works, covering a range of artistic forms including painting, sculpture, literature, song, and video.
Each piece reflects the students’ understanding of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a strong focus on sustainability and social wellbeing.
The exhibition was coordinated through the Ministry for Education, Sport, Youth, Research, and Innovation.
Environment Minister Miriam Dalli praised the children’s creativity during a visit, calling their work a “powerful call for action.”
Francine Pace Caruana, Director for Sustainable Development, added that children are not just part of the sustainability conversation, they are active contributors.
The exhibition runs from 3rd to 6th July at Spazju Kreattiv.
Weekday hours are 09:00–21:00, and 10:00–21:00 on weekends. All are encouraged to visit and support Malta’s youngest voices for the planet.
