Independent councillor and young activist Steve Zammit Lupi took to Facebook to welcome a new project which will see the Vjal Helsien getting more greenery. The project was mentioned in local news and confirmed by Environment Minister Aaron Farrugia and Ħaż-Żebbuġ mayor Malcolm Paul Agius Galea. 56 trees will be planted in Ħaż-Żebbuġ’s principal entrance, along with bicycle parkings and safer kerbs for walking.

Lupi stated how, back in 2019, he had put forth this environmental vision, as well as the first designs, to the local council. After a lot of hard work, €200,000 in funds were acquired from ‘Ambjent Malta’. Lupi expressed his joy at the prospect of making this vision real after long application processes. He concluded by thanking everyone who contributed to the cause and all the locality’s residents.
