Woman Steals Charity Jar From Sphinx Qormi Road, Marsa

Sphinx Qormi Road Marsa posted a video showing CCTV footage of a woman stealing a charity jar from their shop.

The jar was meant to help a girl in need named Kate, with the shop urging anyone with any possible information to contact them.

The culprit reportedly had a white Mercedes with a number plate reading JCL 663.

This initiative aims to attract top international gaming talent, including gamers, content creators, and industry professionals, offering them long-term residency and a supportive environment to advance their careers.

Successful applicants will receive a Creative and Talented Accreditation Certificate, boosting their professional profiles and opening career opportunities within Dubai’s growing gaming sector.

DPG 2033 has several key objectives: attracting skilled professionals, fostering local talent through education, workshops, and events, and supporting entrepreneurs and startups with funding, mentorship, and networking opportunities.

Additionally, the program aims to boost esports by hosting tournaments and leagues, positioning Dubai as a major esports hub. It also promotes innovation through research and development in new gaming technologies.

Eligibility for the Dubai Gaming Visa requires applicants to be at least 25 years old and have a proven track record in the gaming industry.

Required documents include a comprehensive gaming-related CV, passport copy, and optionally, educational qualifications and proof of community contributions.

61 Year Old Motorcyclist At Risk Of Dying After Gozo Crash

Yesterday, at around 2130hrs, police were informed of a traffic accident in Triq l-Imġarr, Xewkija, Gozo.

Police convened immediately on site and preliminary investigations showed that a 61 year old man resident of Żebbuġ, Gozo, lost control of his Honda CMX motorcycle and crashed.

He was given medical aid by a team on site and transported to Gozo General Hospital. He was later certified as having suffered serious injuries.

An Inquiry has been opened as police continue their investigations.

Here’s a brief rundown of the main points from yesterday’s historic court case.

14 persons & 14 companies were arraigned in court. Among them former Prime Minister Joseph Muscat, Former Energy Minister Konrad Mizzi and former chief of staff Keith Schembri.

Joseph Muscat plead ‘absolutely not guilty’ to the charges. Mizzi and Schembri also plead not guilty.

The court prohibited the parties and their lawyer from handing any parts of the records to third parties, banning any public comments about any testimonies or evidence in the proceedings.

The court did not prohibit the accused from travelling abroad but they must make sure to appear for every sitting.

A €25,000 personal guarantee on each of the accused was imposed to ensure they abide by obligation.
