Woman & man injured after car crashes into garage in Ta' Xbiex

Two individuals have sustained light and grievous injuries, respectively, after a car crashed into a Ta’ Xbiex garage on early Saturday morning.

The police were informed of the incident at around 2AM, going on site to discover that the car was a Toyota Platz driven by a 28-year-old man residing in Birkirkara.

The man reportedly sustained light injuries whilst the passenger, a 35-year-old woman from Valletta sustained grievous injuries.

A medical team and Civil Protection Department officials went on site to assist the situation, with the individuals involved in the incident being taken to Mater Dei via ambulance for treatment.

Police investigations are currently under way.

It has been revealed that Portelli plans to spend another $6 million on modifications and customisations to make the apartment truly one-of-a-kind, with one of the modifications involves the craning of a luxury car into the 57th floor to use it as a central art piece.

It’s no secret that Portelli has a penchant for luxury cars, having bought so many Lamborghinis that he’s earned the nickname ‘Lambo Guy’, and with this latest purchase, it’s clear that his taste for the finer things in life knows no bounds.

Malta’s Eurovision representatives, The Busker, are finally off to Liverpool to represent the island much anticipated Eurovision Song Contest 2023.

After doing the rounds across Europe, The Busker’s track ‘Dance (Our Own Party)’ is ready to hit the grand stage on May 9th, in an attempt to make it to the final.

The band will perform in the first semi-final’s second slot, alongside Norway, Serbia, Latvia, Portugal, Ireland, Croatia, Switzerland, Israel, Moldova, Sweden, Azerbaijan, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands and Finland.

Over the past few weeks, The Busker were doing the rounds all across Europe, asking fans in countries like Amsterdam, Madrid and London… “Do you wanna dance?”

'Garden of Dreams' takes shape in the capital for the Valletta Green Festival

A ‘Garden of Dreams’ has taken shape in the capital’s St. George’s Square in anticipation of another edition of the Valletta Green Festival.

The festival is an annual appointment which transforms the square, one of Valletta’s largest open urban spaces, into a green wonderland, which large floral set-ups and potted plants accompanying an itinerary of family-friendly activities.

In a post published on Friday, Valletta Cultural Agency Chairman Jason Micallef expressed his satisfaction in the creation of this temporary garden, which will be opened to the public on Monday 1st of May for the public holiday celebrations.

With activities running from Wednesday 3rd May to Sunday 7th May from 10am until 8pm everyday and from 10am until 10pm on Sunday, the Valletta Green Festival will bring a fantastical 18,000 plant of all varieties and colours to the capital.
