Woman claims husband’s plot to have her killed

A magistrate is currently investigating an alleged assassination case after a woman claimed discovery of evidence that her husband was plotting her assassination during separation proceedings.

Legal procurator Peter Paul Zammit filed documents which read that the woman was “frightened and worried” after finding out that her husband approached an alleged Azeri employee to help find him a hitman.

The woman also provided two conversation recordings which revealed that the man was offered a hefty sum of money to contract a hitman to kill the woman and eventually leave the country. The police are currently investigating this matter and a request for magisterial inquiry has been submitted, with the court to preserve evidence and bring back the Azeri to Malta to testify.

The popular fashion designer shared a photo commenting about his self-love journey, sharing the difficulty of struggling with weight due to an equal love for health food as well as indulgence, a sentiment most of us share.

However, he went on to state that he has went through a rollercoaster of a journey to arrive to a point where he doesn’t need anyone’s approval and highlighted that ‘the most important thing is self love.’

The designer has been an advocate for body positivity through his own personal profile as well as his PARASCANDÅLO fashion line for quite a long time and it truly is a breath of fresh air to see people highlight the importance of self-love.

Over 300 deaths after Haiti is struck by a 7.2-magnitude earthquake

At least 304 people have died after a 7.2 magnitude earthquake hit Haiti last Saturday morning. The Haitian government announced a state of emergency, as 1,800 other people were injured – prompting Prime Minister Ariel Henry to state that when it comes to medical needs, this is the country’s biggest urgency. The state of emergency will include the Western Department, Southern Department, Nippes and Grand’Anse, with one hospital in the south allegedly already overwhelmed with patients.

With tents set up in the courtyard by the hospital, the damage was done by an earthquake that destroyed homes, roads and infrastructure apart form taking so many innocent lives. Resources have been assigned to assist the victims of the natural disaster, with the prime minister urging all Haitians to band together in solidarity to overcome the calamity.

75% of cases come from unvaccinated as jab proves efficacy

From a population in which around 90% has been vaccinated, people who have received their jab make up just a quarter of those who have gotten infected with COVID-19. Positive cases figures were provided by Tanya Melillo, head of the Infectious Disease Prevention and Control Unit. Most of the vaccinated patients were reportedly elderly or immunocompromised. The vast majority of residents are fully vaccinated, going over the 400,000 mark this week. 25% of vaccinated people who tested positive came from a group comprising the vast population majority.

The 75% remaining cases reported in recent months come from a smaller proportion of the population who did not get their vaccination. With proportion of patients requiring hospitalisations down significantly when compared to previous waves, the country reported around 4,500 virus cases since the fourth wave began in July. As of writing this article, 784,626 vaccine doses were administered, with 404,679 having been fully vaccinated.
