Woman in risk of dying & two injured after traffic incident in Mosta yesterday evening

Three individuals have been injured, with one of them at risk of dying after a traffic incident took place yesterday evening in Vjal l-Indipendenza, Mosta.

The incident reportedly took place at around 11:30pm, with a BMW 120D driven by a 28-year-old woman residing in Gzira colliding with a motorcycle driven by a 29-year-old Mgarr man with a 26-year-old woman, also residing in Mgarr, on board.

In a statement, the Malta Police Force said that a medical team was called on site, with the three individuals being taken to Mater Dei hospital for treatment. The motorcycle passenger is at risk of dying, with the motorcyclist suffering grievous injuries and the 28-year-old woman suffering light injuries.

Police Magistrate Yana Micallef Stafrace was informed of the case and opened an inquiry; police investigations are currently under way.

Infrastructure Malta have announced that the Marsa-Valletta road  will be closed for 24 hours starting Friday at 4pm in order to carry out some maintenance works.

A post on Infrastructure Malta’s official Facebook page revealed that the off-slip connecting It-Tiġrija Road‘s southbound carriageway with Diċembru Tlettax Road from Marsa to Valletta will be closed for asphalt laying works.

The stipulated time is between Friday 6th May 2022 at 4pm until Saturday 7th May at 4pm. Alternative routes through Santa Venera or Marsa will be available.

Parliament Speaker Anglu Farrugia has announced that Ukrainian President Volodomyr Zelenskyy will deliver a virtual speech to Maltese Members of Parliament next week.

During an interview on national morning show TVAM, Farrugia confirmed that Zelenskyy will address Parliament at 4pm on Tuesday if circumstances in Ukraine permit.

The address is one of Foreign Minister Ian Borg’s first orders of business, with Zelenskyy recently addressing multiple parliaments around the world, calling for more support for his country and further sanctions on the invading Russia.

The new single accompanied by the powerful music video, directed by Steven Levi Vella, features the singer pushing her boundaries and debuting an edgier style through her look and sound.

The song highlights Maxine’s growth in her musical career and showcases how far she’s come as an artist.

The single was written by Maxine Pace and song writers Matt ‘Muxu’ Mercieca and Cyprian Cassar and was produced and mixed by Cyprian Cassar.

The music video was directed by Steven Levi Vella. The music video was choreographed by Michelle Psian. He is renowned for being an A list choreographer and dancer, having performed with the likes of Jennifer Lopez, Justin Bieber, Cardi B and during Jennifer Lopez’s SuperBowl performance.
