Jun 28 2021 Share

Starting 2013 going into June of this year, it was revealed that more than 75,000 trees were planted. The statistical information was revealed in Parliament following a parliamentary question. The trees and bushes were being planted yearly by ‘Ambjent Malta.’ If one does not count trees planted in 2021, an average of around 8,400 were being planted yearly around Malta and Gozo.

The rate of planting was not the same per year, as these past seven years, except for 2015, more trees were planted than the preceding year. There was a huge increase if one notes the planting from 2013 up to 2020. From 2013 to 2020, Malta saw an increase of 47% of trees and bushes being planted by Ambjent Malta.
